As Spiritualist
Juliette is a west coaster with a life long affinity for nature, its creatures and the mystical stories passed to her from the women in her family. At home in the intertidal zone of the shoreline or tucked up in The Sanctuary, she is dedicated to living a soul-filled life both personally and professionally.
As a child and teen she experienced visions and premonitions which awoke her personal awareness to the realm of Spirit. Now she is a mother to beautiful children, a multi media artist, and ceremonialist, able to weave the sacred into these aspects of daily life. Her call to the 'shamanic' path was recognized after a combination of traditional factors, with the most symbolic element presenting as having received many venomous spider bites from three kinds of spider ~ Black Widow, Brown Recluse and Hobo. In the case of the Black Widows, her body was completely covered in bites, yet through these situations, she did not suffer lasting deleterious effects. Ultimately, these experiences lead her to a formal 'shamanic' training and animist lifestyle.
A many-years-long personal life crisis, like all dark nights of the soul, necessitated that each piece of healing, wisdom and training she received be integrated and lived deeply. Juliette now holds a deep understanding of how important it is to heal and maintain one's spiritual, energetic, and physical aspects to overcome adversity, to turn hardships into medicine and move from survival to soul-filled.

As Creatrix
Juliette is a sacred tool maker of medicine rattles, frame drums, talismans, medicine pouches, intentional non-permenant art and mandala-like natural offerings. Her channeled art is created as a means of spiritual connection. Paintings full of symbols and markings etched into the paint around whimsical animals, mushrooms, and landscapes, or as intricate colour-filled mandalas that hold specific medicinal intentions for the viewer’s well-being. She brings form to wildish spirit dolls made from natural and found materials, as beings come forward with a supportive essence and purpose.
For her, living a creative life is a practice of “walking in two worlds at once”, that is, being very present in our human experience while also keeping informed and influenced by the unseen, natural forces constantly at play. Long fascinated with the process of transformation that occurs when an artist views or feels an inspiration and how it changes form while being filtered through their mind, body, and into the medium of choice to end up on the canvas as something new – Juliette transforms and expresses not just what she sees or feels, but as guided to during a state of active meditation.
